You don’t, however, want to allow GPS to lure you into a false sense of security. While GPS can tell you where your children are, it will not tell you what they are doing. You will still need to take measures to protect their health and safety.

You need to constantly supervise your young children. GPS is just another tool to help you with this task. Even with GPS your child still needs training in how to handle themselves in dangerous situations or if the device becomes lost. You also need to work hard to establish a bond of trust with your child.

You should conduct some research about the benefits and drawbacks of GPS child tracking before deciding to purchase a device. Once that research is complete and you feel that GPS would give you additional peace of mind, you should definitely add it to your list of parental tools.
